A chef takeover at The BBQ Club: field-to-fork dining with Ross Geach from The Padstow Kitchen Garden

Last summer, we had a very special guest chef hosting Sunday lunch at The BBQ Club. Ross Geach, former Rick Stein chef, created a superb six-course menu built around ingredients from his Padstow Kitchen Garden and his family's farm on the North Cornwall coast. Ross and his team grew, reared, and farmed absolutely everything that made it onto the coals on the Southbank. We shared a passion for seasonality and provenance, and we couldn't wait for everyone to enjoy glorious food straight from Cornish fields to Southbank forks!


Ross Geach's field-to-fork concept aligned perfectly with Jimmy's BBQ Club's commitment to high-quality, seasonal produce. As a seventh-generation farmer and celebrated chef, Geach’s expertise promised a dining experience that showcased the essence of each carefully nurtured ingredient.

Guests enjoyed a bespoke six-course menu designed by Ross himself, with each dish kissed by flame and cooked to perfection on every table's very own Big Green Egg. This hands-on approach ensured a Sunday lunch unlike any other, set in our charming Southbank cabana at Jimmy’s BBQ Club.

It was a rare opportunity to savour the culinary mastery of Ross Geach—where Cornwall's finest produce met London's vibrant food scene. An unforgettable feast that honoured the journey from Cornish fields to Southbank forks, all while overlooking the iconic River Thames.
